Polythene Screeding Membrane Installation
Fast Flowing Screeds will supply and install the polythene slip membrane over your floor prior to pumping the screed on the surface. We’ll make sure the insulation is overlapped and sealed to prevent the loss of screed. If you have underfloor heating, then we’ll make sure the pipes are laid on top of the membrane. Some Tips After the Screed is Laid
Once the screed is laid over the protective membrane, to ensure the best finish and performance some key points to remember are:
- Protect the surface from frost
- Ideally for the first 48 hours after the application the air humidity should be 50% or above
- Usually the screed can be walked on 24-48 hours after its application
